Import & Rejection of Wheat back to Russia

In a press conference, Ki Khosro Changloai, head of the country's plant protection organization, announced the return of 50,000 tons of Russian imported wheat from Iran and said: We recently returned this shipment of Russian imported wheat due to the presence of weeds in it. We also returned some of the imported Brazilian barley. According to Ghalat News report of the green economy, the head of the Plant Protection Organization, referring to the return of peppers and potatoes exported from the country, as well as palm trees exported to Qatar, stated that such incidents occur all over the world and said: Recently, the Netherlands 400 has received a notice in this regard. He also explained about the return of Bushehri palm trees from Qatar: Someone had increased the export license of 290 palm trees to 488 people by forging health certificate documents. Referring to the return of Iranian bell peppers from Russia, Changloai stated that the reason for the return of these peppers was related to four types of poisons that were not registered in Russia but were used in the production process of bell peppers in our country. The head of plant protection organization explained whether it is better to export agricultural products from Iran in the form of complete protocols and standards of the destination countries so that we do not witness such incidents: In the country, the health certificate is supposed to be issued after the trade development organization issues the product health certificate. In addition, it is emphasized that the health standards should be observed regularly by the exporters, the authorities issuing health certificates and also by the farmers. Changluai stated: In addition, we have meetings with the countries to which we export products, so that the standards and criteria of both sides are fully reviewed. In another part of his speech, he said about the issues raised regarding the low quality of chemical poisons and their high cost in the country: I do not deny that agricultural poisons are fake, and in this field, we have found several cases of violations and poisons. We encountered fraud and the offenders were introduced to the law. He cited the removal of preferential currency as the reason for the high cost of chemical poisons, which was done last year. Referring to the importance of biological control of plant pests, he stated: No poisons are used in this type of control, and we use natural agents to control pests and diseases. The head of the Plant Protection Organization emphasized: This organization welcomes private sector investors to invest in the field of biological control of plant pests. In the end, referring to the supply of pesticides in the agricultural sector, this official added: So far, 39,000 tons of pesticides needed by the sector have been procured, which is enough for the next year.
